We Belong Here: Eliminating Inequity in Education for Immigrants and Students of Color in Maine

What we learned: Through interviews with 115 students, parents, educators and administrators in over a dozen schools, we uncovered harrassment and discrimination against students of color across the state and at all grade levels. Many students of color face a constant barrage of bullying, as well as unwelcoming school cultures. 

Our goal: This report explores the experiences of immigrants and students of color, and the successful programs some schools have implemented to address inequality. Our goal is to support communities in making positive change in their schools.
