AUGUSTA – Gov. LePage disregarded the will of Maine people and the rule of law today, when he joined a lawsuit challenging President Obama’s guidance on the rights of transgender students to use the correct bathroom.
LD 1554 became law today without the signature of the governor. The law makes possession of heroin and other drugs a misdemeanor rather than a felony.

Augusta – The Maine House of Representatives today voted overwhelmingly to reject a bill that would re-felonize first-time, low-level possession of heroin and other drugs. The House voted 83-63 not to pass LD 1554.
