Kathryn is a member of the ACLU of Maine’s Board of Directors and serves as the chair of the Governance Committee. She joined the board in 2019. Earlier, she volunteered with the ACLU of Maine following the 2016 election. She is particularly passionate about arts education and the role of civil rights in achieving greater equity.

As the chair of the Governance Committee, Kathryn works with other board members to source community members who are passionate about the ACLU of Maine’s work and may be interested in joining the board. She works with other board members to diversify the board in as many ways as possible so it can represent all people in Maine, including people with diverse lived experiences as they relate to geography, expertise, race, ethnicity, LGBTQ equality, and more.

Kathryn is now retired, but previously worked as the Global Practice Leader/Managing Director of WTW. While there, she led ground-breaking research on the impact of effective communication and change management. Kathryn now lives in Scarborough. She was born in Toronto, Canada, and has also lived in Washington, DC, Chicago, Minneapolis/St Paul, and Portland.

In her spare time, Kathryn is an avid cyclist, cross country skier, and hiker. These days, she regularly heads to the Los Angeles area to spend time with her new granddaughter.
